Pink and Brown for Tiffy
One thing I love about sponsoring with the Philip Hayden Foundation (PHF) is the allowance to buy outfits and toys for your sponsor baby, send it to China, and then receive pictures of your baby wearing the clothes. I recently sent these two outfits to Tiffany and can't wait to get pictures of her in them! I'll be sure post them when they come. I perused the entire mall for the little pink and brown dress, and found the perfect little Mary Jane shoes to match. The other outfit I found at Target...on sale!...and got to shop for it with a dear friend who was buying for her little sponsor baby Meg.
Aww...what an adorable outfit for an adorable girl! I'm such a sucker for teeny tiny, oh-so-cute baby clothes, especially in pink! It was so fun to go shopping for our "babies" together! :) Btw...it's funny that you call her "Tiffy". Lately, that's the same name I've been calling her whenever I think of her!
ok, love, it's about time for me to leave my you-haven't-blogged-in-so-long-that-you-must-be-long-gone comment and post a splendid and poetic obituary comment... as i've had to do on several occasions on Abbie's blog! :o)
You ever watch a movie and think…I wish life could be just like that?
You see the little things in the character’s lives and wonder why yours isn’t that way.
Well it is. Just look around.
I could be in a movie right now.
I’m sitting at the counter on a high bar stool. I’m wearing jeans, gray converse, and a plaid red jacket that used to be my dad’s. My hair is down and wavy in some spots from the braid it was in. Typing on my computer. Homework book opened in front of me. Daffodils in a bowl stand to the right. They’re not looking as hot as they were a couple days ago. Backpack, keys, apron, and cell are spread out on the counter. Music plays from my laptop. It’s like a soundtrack to my life. I can see out the dining room window. It’s dark except for the city lights. I’m supposed to be doing homework. But my mind wanders.
See? I could be in a movie. I’d make an interesting character with my funny outfit. Who knows what has been happening in the plot to make this moment interesting. But there’s a bigger story. I can’t help wonder what it is.
